The objective of this role is twofold: to learn through hands-on exposure to real accounting processes, and to contribute meaningfully to the day-to-day operations of the department. The internship will provide practical experience across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Reporting, and Fixed Asset accounting, giving you a well-rounded foundation in corporate accounting. The role is ideal for a student aiming to gain board exposure to accounting processes in a dynamic, real-world setting.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nLearning & Contribution Focus\n\nGain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced accounting team members\nContribute to operational and reporting activities with increasing responsibility over time\nAccounts Payable & Receivable\n\nAssist in processing supplier invoices, verifying approvals, and supporting payment runs\nHelp with issuing customer invoices and tracking incoming payments \nMaintain accurate and organized records of payables and receivables \n\nFinancial Reporting & Month-End Support\n\nSupport journal entry preparation and general ledger account reconciliations \nAssist with month-end and year-end close tasks, such as accruals and reporting schedules\n\nFixed Assets\n\nHelp update and maintain the fixed asset register \nAssist with depreciation calculations and asset tracking processes \nSupport asset inventory reviews and reconciliations \n\nOther Responsibilities\n\nHelp maintain orderly filing and document control for audits and compliance\nParticipate in ad hoc accounting projects and process documentation initiatives\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams as needed to support accounting activities\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nCandidates should be available to work 32 - 40 hours per week during the internship.\nFluent in English (Written & Spoken) \nCurrently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nInterest in developing a career in accounting or financial operations\nBasic knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., double-entry, accruals)\nProficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus\nStrong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills\nSelf-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and in a team\nClear and professional communication skills\n\nNice to have\n\nFluent in German and Dutch \nOpportunity & Inclusion at Packsize\nPacksize is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
