They must be a creative problem solver with the ability to identify, analyze, maintain and repair complex mechanical equipment and answer difficult customer questions about product features. A Field Service Engineer will perform start-up testing and deliver customer training on product capabilities, features and general maintenance of the product(s). They will build and maintain strong, trust-based customer relationships and will work closely with other supporting team members to provide exceptional customer service.\n What You'll Do\nEnsuring execution of defined service and installation calls on assigned customers necessary to achieve goals\nSupport customer installation project management\nProvide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of Automatic Packaging Solutions Systems\nPerform hands-on troubleshooting, service and repairs (including upgrades, modifications)\nProvide on-site training to customers\nScheduling tasks at customer job sites\nTroubleshooting issues quickly and effectively, using technical drawings and documentation\nPerforming routine maintenance and emergency services as they arise\nContinuous learning, including customer operational processes, packaging designs, technical specifications\nSupport requests and issue management\nSpares management towards end customer\nStay up to date with industry and market trends\nDocumentation, reporting and administrative work related to project installs and preventative maintenance\nBasic clerical and administrative duties (emails, expense reports, travel arrangements, technical reports)\nCommunicate responsively and productively with company and customer personnel\nAdhere to all company and local customer safety requirements and protocols\nWork against set performance KPIs\n What You'll Bring\nBachelor degree/technical education OR minimum 3 years experience in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment\nStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset\nSkilled in use of mechanical and electrical hand tools; able to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams\nDetail oriented and stress resistant\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nFlexible and adaptable to changes\nComfortable working independently, managing your own time with minimal supervision\nCustomer service oriented with ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities\nInnovative and self-assured with decision making ability and hands-on mentality\nPositive attitude and ability to learn quickly in a hyper-growth environment\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office; experience with reporting tools or service software is a bonus\nFluent in English and local language (spoken and written)\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to lift 50lbs\nWill be required to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for several hours constantly\nTravel Requirements\nAll work performed remotely at customers facilities within your territory or outside as needed\nTravel often required internationally\nApproximate overnight travel: 50-70%\nWillingness to travel and work consignment shifts, including weekends\n Nice to Have\nPrevious experience as a Resident Engineer or customer-facing field service role\nFamiliarity with automated packaging systems or industrial automation equipment\nBasic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial sensors\nExperience with technical documentation, reporting, or digital service tools\nValid driver's license\n5+ years hands-on experience in electro-mechanical systems (preferred)\nOpportunity & Inclusion at Packsize\nPacksize is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
