This role ensures a reliable, and high-quality supply base while mitigating risks and driving supplier performance. The position requires expertise in manufacturing supply chains, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier development.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSourcing & Strategy - Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, components, equipment, and manufacturing services.\nSupplier Management - Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers across North America, focusing on cost, quality, capacity & sustainability.\nContract Negotiations - Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and supply continuity.\nCross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet technical and operational requirements.\nMarket Intelligence - Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors affecting manufacturing supply chains.\nCost Optimization - Drive value engineering and cost-reduction projects without compromising product quality or compliance.\nRisk Management - Manage supplier risk, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nEngineering degree and/or experience are required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master’s preferred.\n7+ years of experience in technical procurement or sourcing, with at least 4 years focused on manufacturing supply chains.\nStrong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, materials (metals, plastics, electronics, etc.), and production equipment.\nExperience in global sourcing and supplier management, especially North America.\nProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools (SAP, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, etc.).\nStrong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.\nAbility to travel internationally (10-20%).\nPacksize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
