This position is responsible for ensuring all flooring surfaces are properly cleaned, buffed, stripped, waxed, and maintained to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuums\nStrip, wax, buff, and polish floors according to facility schedules\nClean and maintain tile, vinyl, carpet, and other flooring surfaces\nPerform routine floor maintenance in resident rooms, hallways, dining rooms, and common areas\nIdentify and report flooring hazards, maintenance concerns, and safety issues\nFollow all infection control, safety, and chemical handling procedures\nMaintain floor care equipment in proper working condition\nAssist with housekeeping duties as needed\nEnsure floors remain clean, dry, and free of hazards\nMaintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when reordering is needed\nFollow all facility policies and procedures regarding environmental services and resident safety\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrevious floor care or housekeeping experience preferred\nExperience operating floor machines, buffers, and burnishers preferred\nAbility to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\nAbility to work independently and efficiently\nExcellent attendance and reliability\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching\nAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds\nAbility to operate floor care equipment for extended periods\nAbility to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nStrong work ethic and positive attitude\nPride in maintaining a clean and polished environment\nDependable and self-motivated\nTeam-oriented with excellent time management skills\nCommitment to resident safety and comfort\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
