environment working with facility leadership\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs the Business Office Manager / Billing & Collections Manager, you will oversee daily business office functions, ensure accurate and timely billing, manage collections, and help maintain the financial integrity of the facility.\nKey Responsibilities\nBilling, Collections & Financial Management\nOversee billing and payment processes for residents, insurance providers, managed care organizations, and government payers.\nMonitor outstanding accounts, follow up on unpaid claims, resolve billing denials, and manage collection activities.\nAssist with preparing and processing bank deposits.\nMaintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of billing and collection activities.\nMonitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances and bad debt.\nMedi-Cal/Medicaid & Authorizations\nManage Medi-Cal/Medicaid and managed care authorizations, including bed-hold authorizations.\nAssist residents and families with Medi-Cal/Medicaid applications and follow up on outstanding documentation.\nTrack Medi-Cal/Medicaid redeterminations and ensure deadlines are met.\nPrepare TARs as needed.\nMaintain accurate records of authorizations, payer information, and resident financial status.\nResident Trust & Census Management\nAssist with resident trust fund administration and prepare, print, and distribute monthly statements.\nMaintain accurate facility census information and communicate resident status changes.\nSupport residents and families with billing questions and financial processes while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.\nBusiness Office Leadership\nSupervise, train, schedule, and support business office staff.\nMonitor workflow, delegate responsibilities, and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.\nProvide performance feedback and address personnel issues as appropriate.\nCollaborate with the Administrator and other departments to support facility operations.\nParticipate in stand-up meetings and other facility meetings as requested.\nEnsure compliance with HIPAA, applicable regulations, and facility policies.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nQualifications\n Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience is required.\nPrevious experience as a Business Office Manager, Billing Manager, Collections Manager, or similar healthcare business office leader strongly preferred.\nKnowledge of Medi-Cal/Medicaid, managed care, SNF billing, authorizations, collections, and resident trust accounts.\nExperience supervising and managing business office staff.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nProficiency with computers and business office software.\nAbility to handle confidential resident, financial, and employee information appropriately.\nAbility to work independently and
