This role works closely with the Dietary Manager and healthcare team to ensure residents receive quality meals that support their health and well-being.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.\nEnsure proper food preparation, portioning, and presentation.\nFollow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control procedures.\nMaintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.\nMonitor food temperatures and maintain production records.\nAssist with inventory and proper storage of food and supplies.\nWork collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and leadership.\nProvide excellent customer service to residents and guests.\nQualifications\nPrevious cooking experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living experience preferred.\nFood Handler's Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.\nKnowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.\nReliable attendance and commitment to resident satisfaction.\nWhy Whitney Oaks Care Center?\nAt Whitney Oaks Care Center, we believe exceptional resident care starts with exceptional employees.
