The purpose is to maintain a safe, orderly and clean environment free of obstacles and odors.\nEssential Duties\nMaintain all public and common areas throughout the day including\nlobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.\nMaintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.\nMaintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.\nClean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.\nEmpty trash cans and replace liners.\nSweep and mop floors.\nUtilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.\nUse supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.\nMaintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.\nNotify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.\nNotify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.\nExcellent customer skills and positive attitude.\nExcellent time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently or with a team.\nSupervisory Requirements\nThis position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.\nQualification\nEducation and/or Experience \nMinimum requirement to perform the essential functions of this position is a High School Diploma or a GED. Experience working in a long-term care facility preferred.\nLanguage Skills \nAbility to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.\nMathematical Skills \nBasic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.\nReasoning Ability \nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations \nFluent in written and spoken English.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
