This role combines team leadership, scheduling, quality inspections, and hands-on housekeeping support.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure adequate coverage and timely completion of cleaning duties.\nInspect resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and community grounds to maintain high standards of cleanliness.\nPlan and coordinate routine cleaning programs, including deep cleaning, move-in preparations, annual cleaning projects, and carpet cleaning.\nMonitor inventory and order housekeeping supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.\nEnsure proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.\nTrain staff on housekeeping procedures, workplace safety, and applicable OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.\nAssist with daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident rooms, and common areas as needed.\nCoordinate department meetings and training sessions to promote teamwork and consistent performance.\nMonitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.\nPrepare resident charges for housekeeping services when applicable.\nMaintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and reinforcing safe work practices.\nRespond professionally to housekeeping concerns and work to resolve issues promptly.\nMaintain positive working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and facility staff.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAt least one year of related housekeeping experience and/or training.\nPrevious supervisory and scheduling experience required.\nExperience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, healthcare, or a similar environment preferred.\nAbility to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.\nStrong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback.\nProfessional and courteous communication skills when interacting with residents, families, staff, and visitors.\nAbility to manage supplies, equipment, schedules, and multiple priorities effectively.\nKnowledge of safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\nRegularly sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear.\nFrequently use housekeeping supplies and equipment.\nOccasionally use office equipment, including copiers, scanners, telephones, and calculators.\nAbility to perform hands-on cleaning duties as needed.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.\nWork Environment\nThe noise level is generally low to moderate.
