Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, trainees receive hands-on experience and classroom instruction to develop the skills necessary to provide high-quality care to residents in a skilled nursing facility.\nEssential Duties\nParticipate in approved CNA training program provided by the facility or affiliated institution\nAssist residents with basic care needs such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene under supervision\nObserve and report changes in residents’ conditions to licensed staff\nHelp with meal service, feeding assistance, and hydration support\nMaintain a clean and safe environment for residents\nLearn proper infection control and safety procedures\nSupport residents’ mobility and comfort with guidance from nursing staff\nAttend all scheduled training sessions and complete required coursework\nDemonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions\nQualification\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nEnrollment in or eligibility for a state-approved CNA training program\nInterest in pursuing a career in long-term care or nursing\nAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a team\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nPhysical Demands\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting\nAssisting residents with mobility and transfers\nPhysical ability to perform caregiving tasks and lift up to 50 lbs\nAbility to respond quickly to resident needs in a fast-paced environment\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
