This position ensures that all areas of the facility are free of obstacles, odors, and debris, contributing to the overall health and comfort of those in our care.\nEssential Duties\nClean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.\nEnsure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.\nWipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.\nRemove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.\nEmpty trash cans and replace liners as needed.\nSweep and mop floors throughout the facility.\nFollow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.\nOperate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.\nKeep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.\nReport any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.\nNotify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.\nDemonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.\nManage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.\nWork independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.\nSupervisory Requirements\nThis position has no supervisory requirements.\nQualification\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nPrevious housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.\nAbility to follow instructions and safety guidelines.\nStrong attention to detail and cleanliness.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals\nand directions.\nBasic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and\nDivision.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\nPhysical Demands\nFrequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.\nRepetitive motion tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces\nUse of cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the shift\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to needs\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
