This position works closely with the Director of Nursing, department leaders, employees, residents, and healthcare professionals to promote quality care, regulatory compliance, and a strong culture of safety.\nWhat You’ll Do\nInfection Prevention & Control\nLead and coordinate the facility's infection prevention and control program.\nMonitor compliance with CDC, OSHA, state, and facility infection control requirements.\nConduct rounds and monitor hand hygiene, aseptic technique, standard/universal precautions, and isolation practices.\nTrack, investigate, document, and report resident and employee infections and communicable diseases.\nCollaborate with nursing leadership and the Infection Control Committee on infection trends, corrective actions, and prevention strategies.\nSupport TB management, bloodborne pathogen prevention, employee health, and exposure follow-up.\nAssist departments with infection prevention practices related to cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, laundry, waste disposal, and environmental safety.\nParticipate in facility surveys and inspections as needed.\nStaff Development & Education\nDevelop, coordinate, and maintain effective orientation and training programs for new and existing employees.\nProvide education related to infection prevention, OSHA, CDC guidelines, bloodborne pathogens, TB management, hand hygiene, and other required topics.\nCollaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and support ongoing staff competency.\nAssist with annual and required in-service education programs.\nPromote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and quality improvement.\nClinical & Compliance Support\nProvide consultation and clinical support regarding residents requiring isolation or infection control precautions.\nParticipate in care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration as needed.\nMaintain accurate infection control, training, and employee education documentation.\nProvide reports and recommendations to the Director of Nursing and appropriate committees.\nSupport compliance with applicable regulations, facility policies, and standards of practice.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nCurrent, active, and unencumbered LPN or RN license in Washington State.\nNursing degree from an accredited college or university.\n2+ years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in long-term care.\nKnowledge of infection prevention, epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique.\nCurrent CPR certification.\nStrong communication, organization, teaching, and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to effectively educate and work with employees across multiple departments.\nAPIC certification in infection control is preferred.\nKnowledge and experience with PCC is preferred.\nCommitment to maintaining required continuing education and good standing with the Washington State Board of Nursing.\nWhy Join Mountain View Post Acute?\nThis is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond the bedside by helping protect our residents and staff while developing the knowledge and skills of our team.
