With facilities in Albury (NSW) and Altona North (VIC), Circular Plastics Australia can recycle the equivalent of approximately 2 billion 600ml PET bottles annually and has more than doubled Australia’s local rPET production capacity.\nHome | Circular Plastics Australia | Remade in Australia\n The primary purpose of the Electrician is to provide electrical maintenance and production support across manufacturing operations, focusing on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, equipment installation, and continuous improvement. The role works closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while minimizing downtime.\nThis role is part of a maintenance team covering 24-hour operations, 5 days a week, with additional support for weekend production as required\nShift Pattern:\nDayshift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm\nOccasional shift coverage with applicable shift allowances.\nYour key responsibilities will be to:\nPerform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal operation.\nMaintain electrical controls of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveying and optical sorting systems, and Site services including, compressors, chillers, boilers.\nDrive continuous improvement of maintenance processes to support operational goals.\nCoordinate with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure effective support for safety, quality, and operational improvements\nInstall new electrical systems and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.\nCollaborate with OEM manufacturers to install and commission equipment.\nDiagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.\nPerform fault finding and troubleshooting on a range of specialized equipment, including PLC logic, SCADA, and IO troubleshooting.\nPerform Root Cause Analysis on all critical failures of plant and ensure action items derived are implemented and sustained\nEnsure all equipment complies with Australian Safety Standards and Safety Control Logic.\nAdhere to all safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.\nMaintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.\nYour skills and experience\nTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:\n5-10 years in a similar position\nPrior experience in latest technology and automation within a manufacturing environment\nGeneral electrical troubleshooting, maintenance & repairs on manufacturing production lines\nProven ability to problem solve for emergency maintenance and repair Solid understanding of PLC logic, SCADA, Siemens Safety control logic, and Australian Safety Standards.\nRelevant trade qualification as an A Class Electrician.\nCertification in electrical safety and compliance with Australian standards.\nAdditional certifications in PLC programming and SCADA systems are advantageous\nExperience working with CMMS software to manage maintenance activities and work orders.\n Benefits:\nCompetitive hourly rate + overtime and allowances\nCareer development and progression opportunities within Pact Group\nFree onsite parking and annual flu vaccinations\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) for wellbeing support\nSupportive, safety-first team environment\nHow to apply:\nIf this role sounds like you, please click on the apply button and follow the prompts.
