Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.\nAbout this opportunity\nSupporting the Production Co-Ordinator - Power Plastics, Kings Park, the Supervisor safely leads and manages the production team and ensures that the site’s processes are compliant with PACT Group best practice procedures.\nThe Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision and direction of production team in the designated area. The responsibility includes the safe and efficient production of packaging, the safe and efficient running of plant and equipment and welfare for all employees on the shift.\nYour key responsibilities will be to:\nResponsibility to follow the procedures that he or she has been trained against as recorded in their training record.\nResponsibility to ensure all staff adopt safe working practices and follow company safety instructions.\n Ensure that good housekeeping practices are always maintained and adhered to.\nControl of material in and out of facility including completion of appropriate paperwork.\nResponsible for allocation of and supervision of staff in your area to ensure production is meeting targets.\nResponsible to ensure schedules are adhered to or manage with planning concerns that prevent adherence to plan.\nResponsible for controlling leave rostering approval process.\nResponsible for approving Kronos and ensuring that clock cards are accurate and completed in a timely manner.\nSupervise and participate in machine adjustments including line change over when necessary.\nEnsure routine generated machine checks, quality checks, guard checks, TPM are completed.\nEnsure that all breakdowns and down time are recorded accurately so to drive the Reliability improvements. \nEnsure the accuracy and completion of: Quality Control Reports, Certifications, Non-Conformance, Safety/Hazard reporting and actions are followed up and closed out in a timely manner for your area.\nEnsure all product specifications are met and adhered to.\nLead and participate in daily tier communication meetings with planning and manufacturing teams.\nParticipate in RCCA investigations as required.\nFollow Reliability escalation procedure and raise maintenance work requests in MEX system, or site based CMMS.\nEscalate HR issues to your immediate line manager.\nYour skills and experience\nTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:\n5+ years’ experience in a Plastic industrial environment.\nKnowledge of the process for the manufacture of packaging including an understanding of the equipment is preferred\nProven people leadership and change management experience with a collaborative and enabling approach.\nStrong mechanical aptitude.\nCommunication and Interpersonal Skills\nProblem solving skills.\nTime Management Skills.\n About us\nOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
