A good education is one that inspires curiosity, creativity, and community. Our software enables that through visual content creation and collaboration in millions of classrooms worldwide.\nThere are some products that are so good, you feel delight using them. You wish you had more problems just so could use the products more. Think Dyson vacuum cleaner, a faucet with the perfect laminar flow, a sharp knife, WD40.\nWe aspire to build such products at Padlet, and are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us fulfill our aspirations.\nThis is an in-person role in San Francisco. You'll report directly to the CEO.\nResponsibilities\nDesign of new products and features across mobile and web.\n\nCoach less experienced designers in the design team.\n\nHelp hire more designers, if necessary.\n\nPut Padlet in the hands of a billion people.\n\nQualifications\nYou like working hard.\n\nYou are honest.\n\nYou've designed beautiful software products.\n\nBonus: you have a good sense of humor.\n\nAbout Padlet\nVision: Every child in the world will grow up with Mickey Mouse and Padlet.\n\nProduct: We are making the default way of collecting and sharing thoughts on the Internet. People love the product.\n\nImpact: We have 40 million users, making Padlet one of the most used apps on the planet.\n\nMoney: We are venture backed AND fiscally responsible. We are built to last one hundred years.\n\nBadassery: We are only 60 odd people. That's over half a million active users per person.\n\nJoys of designing at Padlet\nWe don't design with data or A/B tests unless we really don't know what the right answer is.\n\nWe ship. Your work will not be stuck in purgatory for years.\n\nYour work will have a tremendous impact on global education.\n\nEvery artist craves an audience. You'll start with 40 million.\n\nWe value quality and craft.\n\nWe don't take ourselves too seriously.\n\nSorrows of designing at Padlet\nWe don't design with data or A/B tests unless we really don't know what the right answer is.\n\nCEO has very strong opinions about design and can often be incorrigible.\n\nWork can be chaotic. \"Change of plans. Let's do this instead.\" is not uncommon.\n\nYou will get hate mail whenever you redesign something. Many users feel very strongly about the product.\n\nSome people you‘d be working with\nCollin Palmer: Exclusively listens to movie soundtracks when working, especially the Darth Vader theme. One man product machine from speccing to shipping.\n\nGerard Searchfield: Insists that wallabies and kangaroos are different animals, artificially inflating the biodiversity of his homeland. Will notice a 1px misalignment from 18 feet away.\n\nThe office\nOur office is in the middle of Presidio, a beautiful national park. We’re a 5 minute walk from the beach. The WiFi works outdoors. You can work sitting in a lawn overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.\n\nThe office itself is designed to be a space for all your interests and hobbies. We have a meditation room, game room, library, art studio, kids room, and full makerspace with 3d printers, presses, laser cutters, sewing machines, and more.\n\nBenefits\nTop tier medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, including One Medical memberships.\n\n401(k) with matching.\n\nCommuter benefits.\n\nFSA.\n\nStock options.\n\nCatered lunches and dinners. Military grade snacking.\n\n20 vacation days. Plus sickness and bereavement days for when life happens.\n\nParental leave\n\nAll the gadgetry you need, including a new phone every year.\n\nSpecial time to join\nBecause we're small, we move fast. And because we have tremendous traction, your designs will go in the hands of millions. This combination of speed and impact is rare and quite satisfying.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3711,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Parental leave","Stock options","Vision insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["EdTech Platforms","Team Communication & Collaboration"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-09T23:39:06Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":4,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.139,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":416,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","ghost","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-24T06:02:35Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":220000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/padlet-senior-product-designer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/padlet-senior-product-designer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-24T18:52:10Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":27598,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-25T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":171883},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=171883"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fpadlet-senior-product-designer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fpadlet-senior-product-designer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fpadlet-senior-product-designer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/padlet-senior-product-designer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fpadlet-senior-product-designer"}]}
