The primary responsibility of this individual is to maintain and repair facilities equipment and assets. By leveraging technical expertise, the Facility Maintenance Technician will contribute to the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our facilities. From conducting routine inspections to troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, this individual plays a crucial role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.\nPrimary Responsibilities / Essential Functions:\nPerforms basic maintenance tasks and cleans, inspects, and lubricates various equipment and assets.\nRepairs, modifies, builds and rebuilds, and maintains facility equipment and fixtures such as overhead doors, windows, siding, walls, roofs, drains, and racking.\nInstalls, builds, and repairs water lines and air lines.\nUnclogs, repairs, and installs drains.\nConducts routine inspections at all PADNOS locations to identify and address maintenance opportunities. \nChanges oil and filter for air compressors.\nChanges air filters on roof top units and air make up units, HVAC.\nRepairs and installs concrete and asphalt.\nSupports Level II Facilities Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing and HVAC opportunities.\nServes as a support function for Level II Facilities Maintenance Technicians with work orders.\nFollows safety protocols and maintains accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS (computerized maintenance management software – currently MainSaver).\nPrioritizes customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service in the maintenance field, providing a prompt response to requests and prioritizing based on urgency.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nPADNOS Expectations of all Team Members:\nAdheres to all PADNOS Policies and Procedures.\nAlways conducts self in a manner consistent with PADNOS Values.\nMaintains a positive and respectful attitude with all contacts.\nConsistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.\nMeets productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates.\nMaintains the privacy of all company proprietary information.\nTreats visitors, vendors, customers, and team members with dignity and respect.\nCan safely perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None\nRequired/Desired Qualifications & Motor/Sensory/Physical Requirements:\nEducation, Training, and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nPlumbing or carpentry certification a plus, but not required.\nMust be able to read blueprints.\nBasic welding/pipe filing experience required.\n1-2 years of basic carpentry experience required (hammer, screwdriver, tape measure, chisel, handsaw, power drill, miter saw, router, claims, level, etc.)\nExperience using precision and measuring tools (caliper, multimeter, infrared thermometer, gas detector, etc.).\nExperience operating general construction equipment (skid steer, backhoe, jackhammer, etc.).\nMust have a valid Driver's license\nSpecific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:\nMust possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interaction with colleagues and customers, and to convey information accurately and professionally.\nMust possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to effectively assess situations,follow instructions, and made sound decisions to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.\nMust excel at managing time efficiently to ensure timely completion of tasks.\nMust be able to prioritize tasks based on urgency.\nMust possess a strong attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.\nMotor/Sensory/Physical Requirements:\nAbility to travel frequently between worksites to accomplish tasks.\nOccasionally ascends or descends ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc.\nMust be able to occasionally accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.\nMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds in all directions, and occasionally 100 pounds.\nThis position does require repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nThis position does require occasional use of machinery and/or power tools, and will frequently require operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.\nThere will be occasional exposure to low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements (such as precipitation or wind), noisy environments, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation, and small and/or enclosed spaces.\nThe above information has been designed to describe the general nature and level of work performed as noted.
