Performs venipuncture when ordered.\nPerforms computerized EKGs according to policy and procedure and provides copies for the patient's chart and the heart station.\nInforms RN of any unusual occurrences or changes in patient's condition.\nProvides comfort measures to patient and family members as needed.\nOrders, labels, delivers, and maintains records of lab specimens.\nKeeps assigned work area clean and stocked.\nContributes to the efficient operation of the unit. Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred. Six (6) months experience as a Nursing Assistant/Orderly or healthcare related position preferred.
