Interns must be located in Indianapolis during the duration of the program and be willing to commit to a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office/2 days remote each week.\nWhat You’ll Experience\nThe Financial Controls team helps ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the Bank’s financial records and reporting. The team supports day-to-day accounting operations. In addition, they play a key role in financial reporting and internal controls, helping to safeguard the organization’s assets, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support effective risk management.\nAs a Financial Controls Intern at FHLBank, you’ll:\nContribute to the daily operations of the Financial Controls team.\nReconcile daily accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nPost daily journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.\nAssist with the daily general ledger close process.\nSupport various ongoing and ad hoc projects.\nParticipate in initiatives related to accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls over financial reporting.\nApply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively.\nContribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study.\nGain exposure to the finance and banking industry.\nParticipate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!).\nWho We’re Looking For\nWe’re seeking students who:\nAre actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.\nHave completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies.\nAre majoring in Accounting and/or Finance.\nCommunicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.\nWork well independently and in team settings.\nAre detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems.\nProgram Highlights\n10-week paid internship from June to August.\nFlexible hybrid workforce model: Onsite three days a week and two days remote.\nCompetitive hourly rate.\n“Dress for your day” dress code: You choose the appropriate work attire based on what your day looks like.\nProfessional development and networking opportunities.\nInclusive and collaborative work environment.\nReady to apply?
