This role involves managing on-premises and cloud based system (Microsoft Azure), virtualization, networking, and automation tools while optimizing performance and security. This individual works with cross-functional teams to design and implement CI/CD workflows, integration frameworks, and automated deployment models that support The Federal Home Loan Bank’s Cloud Delivery Strategy.\nThis individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company and IT goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The Bank reserves the right to alter or amend this description at any time.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nProvide support and maintenance of FHLBI’s operating systems and underlying infrastructure in a hybrid Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.\n\nFollow security design and operations best practices to ensure operating systems and infrastructure run in a secure environment.\n\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures, technical standards, reference architecture, and logical diagrams.\n\nCollaborate with various teams in IT to design, build, and maintain technology solutions to support FHLBI applications.\n\nAutomate and manage Cloud Infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management automation platforms.\n\nDesign, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and automated cloud and on-premises infrastructure.\n\nManage and optimize cloud resources for scalability, security, and cost efficiency.\n\nDevelop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated provisioning of resources using infrastructure as code and config management automation tools.\n\nParticipates in and supports capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and IT department managers.\n\nPerform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades, patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.\n\nParticipate in On-Call rotation duties.\n\nKnowledge sharing with peers to strengthen the overall skill set of the team.\n\nParticipate and support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution of bi-annual disaster recovery testing.\n\nCompetencies:\nBusiness\nJob Knowledge\n\nGeneral\nDecision Making/Judgment\n\nDependability\n\nProductivity\n\nPeople\nCommunication\n\nPosition Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related field.\n\n10+ years’ of experience deploying, configuring, and managing Windows/Linux servers in a DevOps environment.\n\n10+ years’ of experience scripting/coding skills (i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash) for automation.\n\n7+ years’ experience leveraging Ansible or equivalent tools for Configuration Management and System Automation solutions.\n\n7+ years’ experience with GIT version control tools and source code management tools like Azure DevOps, Github, or Gitlab.\n\n3+ years’ experience using identity, authentication, and secure access tools like PingAccess, PingFederate, and Cisco Duo.\n\n3+ years’ experience with Enterprise Scheduling Tools such as Tidal Automation.\n\n1+ years’ experience using infrastructure as code automation and delivery tools (e.g., Terraform).\n\nCentralized Log analysis and troubleshooting using tools like Splunk or ELK.\n\nProven experience managing VMware vSphere management experience and working with systems in a highly virtualized environment.\n\nExperience managing infrastructure in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.\n\nStrong understanding of network fundamentals and security principles.\n\nFoundational knowledge of LDAP, DNS, SMTP, and Active Directory.\n\nProven ability to work independently, prioritize work, and communicate effectively written and verbally.\n\nExperience working in Agile environment.\n\nContinuous learner mindset with a passion for process improvement.\n\nTime management skills to ensure the completion of projects in a timely manner.\n\nA focus on customer satisfaction with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness.\n\nAbility to uphold and model the Bank’s Guiding Principles.\n\nHiring Range: $130,000 - $153,000\nHiring ranges reflect the base salary that the Bank reasonably expects to pay for a given role and is not inclusive of annual incentive award opportunities, retirement benefits or the value of other health and welfare or other ancillary benefits.
