Release Engineering decides how fast, and how safely, that code reaches our customers. We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to build the delivery system for this new pace: pipelines that give AI agents fast, trustworthy feedback, environments fully defined in Git, and the CI/CD platform we’ll run for years to come.\nYou’ll lead a team of experienced platform engineers and set the delivery direction for all of PagerDuty Engineering. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, you’ll partner closely with our AI-native development program to shape how software gets built and shipped at PagerDuty.\n**This role will require you to be in office 2 times a week**\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSet the multi-year roadmap for how PagerDuty builds, tests and deploys software.\nLead our GitOps transformation, so every environment is defined in Git and every change is promoted and rolled back the same way.\nBring CI-quality checks into the developer and agent loop, so problems are caught in minutes, before code ever reaches a merge gate.\nGive engineers and AI agents short-lived, isolated environments to test changes safely.\nRework code review so people spend their time on changes that carry real risk, with automated checks covering the rest, including verifying that AI-written tests actually test something.\nTake our next CI/CD platform from selection to full adoption across Engineering.\nOwn our delivery metrics, including Change Failure Rate, and report them to engineering leadership monthly, pairing every speed metric with a quality measure.\nKeep the cost of CI and AI tooling predictable as usage grows.\nHire, coach and grow senior engineers.\nShare what we learn through talks, blog posts and the wider engineering community.\nBasic Qualifications:\n10+ years in platform engineering, SRE or DevOps, including at least 5 years managing engineers.\nProven experience leading a GitOps or deployment platform migration across many teams and clusters.\nA track record of taking a CI/CD platform from selection to full adoption across an engineering organization.\nDeep knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD systems and infrastructure as code.\nHands-on use of AI coding agents, with experience changing a pipeline or process because of their impact on delivery speed and stability.\nThe ability to explain technical tradeoffs to executives in plain language.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience running Argo CD, Buildkite or CircleCI at scale.\nExperience with progressive delivery, such as canary releases or feature-flag rollouts.\nExperience with vendor and budget management.\n**The base salary range for this position is 180,000 - 272,800 CAD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.\nOur base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
