Demonstrates leadership qualities and can initiate and execute major projects. They are a mentor to all junior technicians. The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are not all encompassing and are representative of those required on the job. A Maintenance Automation Technician:\nServes as an automation safety advocate for all surrounding colleagues.\nAdvanced ability to read and understand electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.\nAbility to troubleshoot major mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.\nCan safely troubleshoot electronic circuits and panels to include all 24VDC controls components.\nCan log in, navigate, modify, save, and recover PLC ladder logic. \nAbility to troubleshoot machines using PLC software.\nCan instruct and teach other technicians basic controls knowledge.\nCan backup PLC programs and robot images and programs.\nCan navigate and modify robot programs.\nCan touch up and recover robotic move points. \nAbility to recognize and modify electrical and automation inefficiencies.\nLead internal integration projects for new and existing equipment.\nAbility to track automation parts and supplies used from tool crib to report to MRO team for purchase.\nUsually serves as the MTL or 2nd-in-Command (2IC) for the MTL.\nLog-in and complete all assigned SOP’s and compliance trainings in eInfotree.\nPerform any other tasks as assigned by maintenance leadership.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nHS Diploma or equivalent education required.\nVocational or technical certifications required.\nAssociates degree in a technology field highly preferred.\n4-6 years manufacturing experience.\n4-6 years multi-craft maintenance experience.\nDemonstratable leadership qualities.\nMust have experience and understanding of mechanical and electrical applications.\nA successful candidate will also have:\nAbility to listen and learn from more seasoned technicians.\nAbility to perform in a team environment.\nOpen minded.\nAbility to properly escalate DT and other issues.\nExcellent communication skills.\nAbility to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:\nThe physical requirements and working conditions listed for this job are representative of those required on the job.
