Brand/Packaging Designer for an DTC E-commerce company (US-Based/Remote)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Brand / Packaging & Product Designer who can take a consumer product from brand concept to a cohesive, physical product experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the visual design of consumer products from concept through production.
• Develop packaging, labels, product graphics, and physical brand assets.
• Create and maintain comprehensive brand books and brand guidelines.
• Develop brand identities that translate consistently across physical and digital touchpoints.
• Design packaging concepts that are both visually compelling and commercially effective.
• Create packaging systems that can scale across multiple SKUs, products, flavors, sizes, or product lines.
• Develop typography, color systems, iconography, graphic elements, and visual language.
• Create product mockups and realistic packaging visualizations.
• Work closely with manufacturers, printers, suppliers, and production partners to bring designs to life.
• Prepare production-ready artwork and packaging files.
• Ensure packaging designs account for technical requirements such as dimensions, dielines, print specifications, materials, finishes, and regulatory information.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, creative, and leadership teams to develop new product concepts.
• Maintain consistency between the brand strategy, product design, packaging, and customer experience.
• Evolve existing brand systems as products and product lines grow.
• Research competitors, market trends, packaging trends, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Brand Design, Packaging Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Experience with DTC, CPG, wellness, food & beverage, beauty, supplements, or consumer products.
• Strong understanding of branding and visual identity systems.
• Proven experience creating brand books and brand guidelines.
• Experience designing packaging and labels for physical consumer products.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, hierarchy, and visual systems.
• Ability to take a product concept and translate it into a compelling physical brand experience.
• Experience creating production-ready packaging artwork.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple SKUs and design variations.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturers, printers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
