Description\n\n The Data Centre Engineer role entails monitoring of the data centre infrastructure, preventive and corrective maintenance as well as customer implementation and support.\n\nSpecific responsibilities:\n\nFacility Maintenance and Operations\n\n Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on power, cooling, and building systems.\n\n Monitor equipment performance, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency.\n\n Perform routine facility inspections and audits to identify risks or defects.\n\n Document all maintenance activities in line with SLAs and MOPs.\n\nContractor Supervision and Coordination\n\n Coordinate external contractors for scheduled and emergency facility works.\n\n Ensure contractors follow safety procedures and complete work to required standards.\n\n Review and sign off contractor work reports and updates.\n\nData Centre Operations\n\n Respond to alarms and escalate incidents according to protocols.\n\n Monitor environmental controls and report abnormalities promptly.\n\n Provide assistance to customers during installations, deliveries, and audits.\n\n Support the Customer Implementation Management (CIM) team when facility input is required.\n\nSafety, Compliance & Reporting\n\n Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\n\n Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance activities.\n\n Participate in risk assessments and contribute to operational improvement initiatives.\n\nCleaning Operations Environment\n\n Supervise daily cleaning staff to maintain international hygiene standards across the data centre.\n\n Implement and monitor cleaning schedules for all facility areas, especially technical spaces.\n\n Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to safety and hygiene policies.\n\n Manage cleaning inventory and supplies, ensuring readiness at all times.\n\nTeamwork \n\n Collaborate with your direct line manager and all PAIX colleagues to contribute to the company's development\n\n Proactively engage with colleagues to improve processes and overall ways of working\n\n As PAIX is a young company, provide support to your standards, and maintenance best practices.\n\n Engage with colleagues to share knowledge and improve team capability.\n\n Deliver quarterly reports on lessons learned and process improvements.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\n\n Perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager.\n\n Support team members across other operational functions as needed.\n\nRequirements\n\nTo qualify for this role, you should have the following:\n\n Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field.\n\n A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Facility Maintenance or a similar technical environment.\n\n Strong analytical and customer service skills\n\n Demonstrated ability to adhere to Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements related to uptime, environmental metrics, and security.\n\n Adherence to Service Level Agreement (SLA) Requirements for Mean Time to Install (MTTI) and Mean Time to Resolve
