Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.\nWhat an Adjunct Instructor’s Day looks like:\nDevelops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards. \nAnalyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses. \nDevelops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required. \nAssist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities. \nWe’d love to hear from you if you have the following: \nEducation and Experience:\nMaster’s degree in Philosophy.\nor\nMaster’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy.\nKnowledge of:\nMicrosoft Office Professional or similar applications\nUtilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies\nAbility to:\nInteract positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.\nWork Environment and Physical Demand:\nReach and grasp objects \nStoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl \nUse of video display terminal \nUse of manual dexterity and fine motor skills \nCommunicate information orally and in writing \nReceive and understand information through oral and written communication \nProofread and check documents for accuracy \nThis job description is intended to be generic in nature and describe the job's essential functions.
