Your key responsibilities include:\nStrategy & Architecture:\nDefine, evolve, and document the organization’s data architecture aligned with business and IT strategy.\n\nDesign enterprise data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), establishing naming conventions and modeling standards.\n\nAssess and recommend data technologies (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Mesh, Warehouse) based on evolving business needs.\n\nGovernance, Privacy & Quality:\nDefine policies and standards for data governance, quality, privacy, cataloging, and lineage.\n\nLead adoption of metadata management and data discovery tools across teams.\n\nEnsure compliance with internal and external data regulations and security requirements.\n\nData Integration & Design:\nArchitect data integration solutions (ETL/ELT, real-time and batch pipelines).\n\nEnsure interoperability across domains, sources, and consumers using principles such as Data Mesh.\n\nDefine integration patterns and data federation frameworks to deliver a 360° data view.\n\nCollaboration & Leadership:\nAct as a technical reference in data architecture, guiding engineering, analytics, and business teams.\n\nPromote adoption of data models, standards, and best practices across the organization.\n\nTranslate business needs into scalable data solutions and facilitate technical-business alignment.\n\nWhat experience do you need for this role?\nYou're a strong fit for the Data Architect role if you have:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.\n\nPreferred certifications: Microsoft Certified, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or relevant cloud and data architecture certifications.\n\nRequired Experience:\n10+ years of experience in data engineering.\n\n3+ years designing cloud-based data architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).\n\n2+ years in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, or data governance.\n\nExperience leading data model design for various architectures including Data Warehouse and Data Lake.\n\nParticipation in multi-source data integration projects (on-premise, cloud, external sources).\n\nIn-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks including quality, cataloging, privacy, and compliance.\n\nExperience with modern architectures (Data Mesh, Lakehouse) and cataloging tools (Purview, Unity Catalog) is a plus.\n\nTechnical Expertise:\nProficiency in Data Modeling; Architectures including Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Mesh; Governance frameworks; Platforms like Azure Synapse.\n\nCompetency in Data Integration using Azure Data Factory and knowledge of CI/CD practices.\n\nStrong programming skills in SQL, Python, JSON, Java, and Scala.\n\nLeadership & Soft Skills:\nSystemic thinking and cross-functional communication are essential.\n\nStrong technical leadership ability and a focus on managing complexity.\n\nA mindset of curiosity and continuous learning to stay ahead of technological trends.\n\nMore About PALO IT\nJoin PALO IT to be part of an innovative, collaborative environment with a passionate international team committed to advancing AI-native development.
