As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own the technical direction and project execution for engineering teams while actively embedding AI and Generative AI into how teams work by default.\nYou will lead and manage a team of engineers, providing full-stack expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring delivery excellence. Working closely with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders, you will shepherd technical decision-making and provide thought-leadership through both traditional development practices and AI-augmented workflows.\nYou will apply Palo IT's Gen-E2 methodology to drive quality, speed, and responsible AI adoption across projects and teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Delivery Ownership\nOwn the technical direction and roadmap for engineering projects.\n\nProvide full-stack expertise to the engineering team and establish best practices on code quality and performance.\n\nShepherd technical decision-making process and provide thought-leadership.\n\nProvide architecture-level and code-level feedback for the engineering team.\n\nBuild confidence in project delivery through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring and analytics.\n\nMonitor project progress and delivery quality across teams.\n\nEnsure timelines, outcomes, and engineering standards are met.\n\nAI-Native & Gen-E2 Leadership (Core Expectation)\nChampion AI-Native ways of working across the team, including AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation.\n\nDefine and enforce AI/GenAI best practices, including:\nPrompt and context engineering standards\n\nOutput validation, guardrails, and fallback strategies\n\nCode review standards for AI-generated code\n\nStay current with emerging GenAI trends and tools and translate them into practical, value-driven implementations.\n\nAct as a technical authority and coach on Gen-E2 practices and responsible AI/GenAI adoption.\n\nPeople Leadership & Team Management\nLead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality code and projects.\n\nProvide technical guidance, coaching, and career development planning for team members.\n\nManage performance through clear goal setting, regular feedback and reviews, and identification of growth opportunities.\n\nFoster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-driven culture.\n\nRecruit and build high-performing engineering teams.\n\nConsulting, Clients & Growth\nCollaborate with clients to understand business problems, design solutions, and lead implementation.\n\nPartner with Sales and Presales teams to shape proposals, solution approaches, and contribute to technical responses and estimations.\n\nContribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to scale delivery efficiency.\n\nSupport Palo IT thought leadership through research, experimentation, and publication.\n\nMust-Have Experience\n10+ years of hands-on software development experience including recent experience in client and team management.\n\nProven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.\n\nDeep technological expertise in fullstack development.
