You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential environments.\nElectrician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\nInstallation and Maintenance: Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.\nTroubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems in a timely and efficient manner. Identify and rectify issues with wiring, circuits, fuses, and other components.\nCode Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local and national electrical codes and regulations. Keep up to date with any changes in codes or standards.\nBlueprint Interpretation: Work with Journeyman or Foreman to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems and components.\nSafety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.\nCollaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members, contractors, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.\nDocumentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work orders, equipment inspections, and materials used.\nContinuing Education: Stay current with advancements in electrical technology, tools, and equipment. Attend relevant training and professional development sessions as required.\n Willingness to obtain valid journeyman electrician license\nIn Progress of electrical apprenticeship program or 8000+ hours of on-the-job training in an electrician capacity and willingness to transfer into a union setting\nStrong knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations.\nProficiency in using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong Technical Aptitude\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation.\n Physical Demands:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy objects, sometimes in excess 50 pounds.\nComfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.\nExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.\nMust be able to accurately identify color-coded cables and wires, in variable lighting conditions.\nWorking Environment:\nConstruction Job Site environment\nWorking in weather elements (May include heat, cold, rain, snow etc.)\nNote:\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
