Pandektes already serves more than 450 customers across Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.\nWe’re still early in the journey, and joining our team now means you’ll have big impact on shaping how we scale.\nAbout the role\nThis is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, overseeing the month-end close, management accounts, financial reporting and statutory compliance, while continuously improving financial processes, systems and internal controls and working closely with Senior Management, external service providers and the wider business teams. The role will combine strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn the monthly and annual close - reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations, and delivering accurate trial balances and financial statements on time\n\nMake sure our SaaS revenue (subscription, usage-based and implementation) is recognised correctly, and reconcile revenue schedules to billing, contracts and the general ledger\n\nProduce reliable monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting\n\nTake over revenue billing from the sales team and run it within finance\n\nManage our outsourced service providers and review the reconciliations they prepare - bank, intercompany, payroll, fixed assets and other control accounts\n\nDesign and maintain financial policies, controls and approval limits across payments, expenses, procurement and system access\n\nOversee AP, AR and cashbook accounting, manage payments through Corepay, and keep an eye on working capital\n\nLead statutory accounts and external audits, and oversee VAT, corporate tax and compliance with our tax advisers\n\nCoordinate intercompany accounting and reporting across our entities in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and the UK\n\nImprove finance processes, systems and automation - and over time, build and develop a small accounting team\n\nWhat you’ll bring\n7+ years in commercially focused accounting roles, ideally with previous experience as a Financial Controller\n\nA recognised Danish accounting qualification (or equivalent, e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA)\n\nHands-on experience with subscription and deferred revenue, including month-end revenue reconciliations\n\nA track record of independently running the month-end close and producing accurate management accounts\n\nExperience with intercompany balances, foreign currencies and reporting across international subsidiaries\n\nExposure to international tax, VAT and transfer pricing, and experience running a local audit process\n\nA strong grasp of internal controls, segregation of duties and fraud risk\n\nExperience improving finance operations in a growing, scaling business - and a love for systems and automation\n\nA sharp eye for detail and the analytical instinct to tell a real business issue from an accounting error\n\nHow we work\nWe place great value on a vibrant, inspiring, and challenging company culture.
