This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nPanelmatic is seeking skilled Fabrication Welders to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will fabricate and weld sheet metal components used in electrical enclosures and metal structures. This position requires precision, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nJob Duties:\nInterpret shop drawings and welding symbols to perform accurate welds \nPerform MIG welding (mild and stainless steel), including spray transfer \nSet up, align, tack, and weld components to meet dimensional specifications \nConduct fit-up, cope, and layout work for assemblies \nOperate fabrication tools and equipment (grinders, torches, plasma cutters, etc.) \nInspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications \nPerform grinding, finishing, and weld repairs as needed \nMaintain dimensional accuracy (square, plumb, alignment) throughout fabrication \nCollaborate with team members and notify inspectors when work is ready \nFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\n Welding test required\n2+ years of welding experience in manufacturing or industrial settings \nProficiency in MIG welding (mild and stainless steel) \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints \nExperience with fabrication tools (grinders, clamps, gauges, torches, etc.) \nStrong attention to detail and quality workmanship \nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment \nBasic math skills (including measuring and conversions) \nAbility to pass weld test, background check, and drug screening \nPreferred Qualifications:\nWelding certifications (1G, 3G) \nForklift experience or certification \nExperience with fabrication
