This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nPanelmatic is looking for a detailed-oriented and hands-on Packaging & Crating Technician. As part of our team, you oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, store items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items for shipping. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility.\nThe ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working with tools, materials, and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.\nJob Duties:\nClean, inspect, and prepare finished panels and components for shipment \nBuild custom crates, skids, and packaging to protect equipment during transport \nMeasure, cut, and install materials such as duct covers and gasket materials \nRead blueprints and follow packaging specifications \nPhotograph and document finished products prior to shipment \nLoad and unload materials using forklifts and other equipment \nOperate tools including panel saws, nailers, staplers, and hand tools \nMaintain inventory of packaging and shipping supplies \nOrganize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace \nAssist with facility layout and space utilization as needed \nDrive company box truck (26 ft) for deliveries when required \nFollow all safety procedures and company guidelines \nPerform other duties as assigned \nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nMinimum 2 years of forklift experience \nAbility to read a tape measure and use hand/power tools \nStrong organizational and time management skills \nAbility to push, pull, and lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting) \nAbility to pass drug screening, background check, and driving record check\nCandidates must be able to successfully pass the required physical test as a condition of employment\nBasic computer skills (MS Office) \nValid driver’s license (DOT medical card required or ability to obtain) \nBox truck driving experience with air brakes\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in carpentry, construction, or crating/packaging \nExperience building crates, pallets, or custom packaging \nFamiliarity with blueprint reading
