This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating various types of industrial powered equipment such as forklifts to load/unload and receive, transport, store, and stage raw materials, steel, and finished products throughout the inside and outside the facility. The forklift operator position supports the facility by ensuring materials are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Panelmatic safety standards.\nRequirements\nJob Duties:\nOperate a variety of forklifts at various capacities, including sit-down, stand-up, side-loaders and specialty equipment, to safely off-load/up-load from trucks and trailers, and move materials and products throughout the facility.\nInspect incoming materials for damage and verify quantities against packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.\nLoad outbound shipments accurately and securely while ensuring proper weight distribution and load stability.\nTransport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to designated production, storage, and shipping areas.\nPerform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the facilities department.\nMaintain accurate inventory by scanning, labeling, and recording material movements when needed.\nEnsure proper storage of materials to prevent damage and maintain an organized warehouse and production environment.\nFollow all OSHA regulations, Panelmatic safety policies, and safe material handling procedures.\nAssist with inventory counts and warehouse organization as needed.\nKeep work areas clean and free of hazards, following 5S methodology.\nSupport other warehouse and production activities as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications:\n High school diploma or GED preferred.\nPrevious forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.\nExperience handling steel, heavy materials, or oversized loads is highly desirable.\nForklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.\nBasic math and computer skills for inventory transactions.\nAbility to read work orders, ship documents, and material labels.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving equipment.\nAbility to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods.\nWork Environment\nThis position is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment where employees regularly work around heavy equipment, overhead cranes, steel products, and moving machinery.
