This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nPanelmatic, Inc. is seeking an experienced and proactive Machine Shop Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily machine shop and fabrication operations. This position is responsible for supervising production personnel, coordinating machining and fabrication activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established production schedules.\nThe ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machining equipment, metal fabrication, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes, along with a proven ability to lead a team in an industrial environment. The supervisor will work closely with production leadership and other departments to prioritize workloads, resolve production challenges, improve efficiency, and ensure finished components meet required specifications.\nJob Duties:\nSupervise, train, and mentor machine shop and fabrication personnel to promote a productive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.\nAssign daily work based on employee skill levels, equipment availability, production priorities, and project requirements.\nMonitor production schedules, establish priorities, and adjust staffing and resources to meet deadlines.\nOversee the setup, operation, and safe use of machine shop equipment and metal fabrication tools.\nEnsure machining and fabrication activities are performed according to engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and applicable quality requirements.\nInterpret technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions to guide production activities.\nMonitor machining and fabrication processes to ensure components meet dimensional, fit, and quality requirements.\nCoordinate with production management, engineering, assembly, and other departments to resolve technical issues and prevent production delays.\nIdentify equipment issues, workflow bottlenecks, material shortages, and other obstacles affecting production.\nTroubleshoot machining and fabrication problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime, rework, and material waste.\nEnsure proper use of measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other applicable inspection tools.\nMonitor equipment condition and coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing as needed.\nConduct routine quality checks and verify completed work meets applicable specifications before moving to the next production stage.\nMaintain compliance with company safety policies, quality assurance procedures, and applicable manufacturing standards.\nConduct employee performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address performance or attendance concerns.\nMaintain accurate records of production output, labor utilization, material usage, equipment maintenance, quality issues, and employee performance.\nTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including production efficiency, on-time completion, quality, scrap, and rework.\nIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, workflow, and overall productivity.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe machine shop and fabrication area.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nTechnical school training or coursework in machining, manufacturing, or metal fabrication preferred.\nExperience operating or supervising CNC machines, mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other applicable machine shop equipment preferred.\nExperience with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, preferred.\nExperience with equipment maintenance planning, production reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred.\nForklift
