This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nPanelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that external suppliers deliver components, materials, and assemblies that meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role will cover raw material, fabrication and metal manufacturing products and focus on supplier selection and approval, audits, re-evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and root-cause corrective actions.\nJob Duties:\nSelection, evaluation, approval and ongoing performance evaluation of suppliers.\nConduct QMS and technical supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality management systems and applicable industry standards.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for supplier-related nonconformances.\nReview and disposition non-conforming materials received from suppliers.\nReview and approve supplier quality documentation, inspection plans, and manufacturing processes.\nSupport incoming inspection activities and disposition of nonconforming materials.\nReview and approve supplier-requested changes to processes, materials, or tooling.\nCollaborate with engineering and sourcing teams during new product introductions and supplier selection.\nTrack supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement projects.\nEnsure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and reliability.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or related technical field.\n5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 3 years in supplier quality.\nExperience conducting supplier audits and root cause investigations.\nFamiliarity with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.\nProficient in reading technical drawings and using measurement/testing equipment.\nExperience with ISO-9001 quality management systems (QMS).\nComputer literate and experience working with ERP systems.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical
