This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.\nJob Summary:\nPanelmatic is seeking a reliable and organized Expeditor to support production by ensuring the timely availability and movement of materials, parts, components, and supplies throughout the manufacturing process. The Parts Expeditor will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Warehouse, and other departments to identify shortages, track outstanding materials, and prevent production delays.\nThe ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly identify and resolve material-related issues.\nJob Duties:\nMonitor production requirements and identify parts, materials, and components needed to keep jobs moving\nTrack material shortages and communicate potential production delays to appropriate personnel\nCoordinate with Purchasing and Materials teams to obtain outstanding parts and materials\nFollow up on purchase orders, backordered items, and delayed materials\nExpedite the delivery of critical parts and materials when necessary\nWork with Production Supervisors and Leads to identify immediate material needs\nDeliver or coordinate the movement of parts and materials to the appropriate work areas\nVerify that received materials and components are properly identified and delivered to the correct department or job\nAssist with locating missing, misplaced, or delayed parts\nMaintain accurate records of material shortages, expected delivery dates, and outstanding items\nMonitor inventory and communicate low-stock or critical material concerns\nAssist with organizing and maintaining staging areas to ensure materials are readily accessible\nReview work orders, bills of materials, drawings, and production documentation to identify required components\nCoordinate with Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving personnel regarding incoming and outgoing materials\nCommunicate changes in production priorities and material requirements to affected departments\nIdentify recurring material shortages or process issues and communicate them to department leadership\nAssist with resolving discrepancies between production requirements, inventory records, and available materials\nPrioritize urgent requests based on production schedules and customer deadlines\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nRequirements\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, production, materials, warehouse, purchasing, or a related environment preferred\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to prioritize multiple requests and changing production needs\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to identify problems and proactively seek solutions\nBasic computer skills and ability to learn inventory or production management systems\nAbility to read and understand work orders, part numbers, and basic production documentation\nAbility to work effectively with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments\nAbility to work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in a custom manufacturing or fabrication environment\nExperience with inventory management or ERP/MRP systems\nPrevious experience expediting parts, materials, or purchase orders\nFamiliarity with electrical control panels, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, or industrial manufacturing\nExperience working with bills of materials (BOMs),
