As a User Experience Designer, you'll be part of a team that's been recognized by Fast Company as one of the most innovative in the world. You'll contribute across the design process for our e-commerce properties: web, mobile apps, and digital experiences in retail spaces. You'll join research in the field (both online and in-person) to observe and test with customers, you'll help brainstorm new ideas, and you'll craft clear user flows and intuitive, thoughtful interactions. You'll work alongside senior designers and leads who will support your growth, and you're eager to learn and take on more ownership over time. You may call yourself a UX designer who can create visual designs or a visual designer who knows UX, but you are a digital craftsperson at heart.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\nThe primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:\n\nOwn the design of features and well-scoped projects, bringing human-centered design to the work with guidance from senior designers and leads\nVisualize and iterate design concepts at project-appropriate levels of fidelity, both independently and in partnership with other designers\nEstimate your own design work and partner with product owners to plan realistic timelines for your deliverables\nHelp plan, conduct and synthesize user research, and use insights & data to inform design decisions\nSupport and co-facilitate qualitative research methods, i.e., interviews, usability tests, card sorts, etc., building toward leading sessions independently\nProvide deliverables based on research, i.e. User Flows, Sitemaps, Wireframes, Prototypes, Lo-fi, and Hi-fi Mockups\nContribute to our design system and support documentation and governance across our workflows\nCollaborate with stakeholders to acquire information about products, requirements, and to receive feedback on iterations throughout the entire process\nClearly organize and present your designs and the reasoning behind them to your team and partners\nBreak your work into clear tasks and proactively communicate progress, risks and blockers\nFollow and contribute to our UX process and the Rise design system, flagging gaps and opportunities for improvement\nParticipate in healthy debate, sharing your perspective while valuing diversity of thought\nActively seek mentorship and coaching to grow your craft\nBuild relationships and trust with partners across product, engineering and other disciplines\nGive and solicit feedback from peers and mentors. Encourage honest feedback!\n\nQualifications (Education & Experience)\n\nQualifications include:\n\n1–3+ years UX Design (Web, Mobile, E-commerce) experience; relevant internship, agency or freelance experience considered\nA portfolio that demonstrates a solid foundation in the UX process and well-crafted, intuitive interactions across desktop, tablet and mobile\nSolid core UX skills (e.g. Interaction Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Visual Design) and interest in developing depth in one area of the design practice\nWorking knowledge of Human Centered Design and Design Thinking principles\nGrowing comfort with ambiguity, and knowing when to ask questions to get clarity\nContributes to a positive, collaborative team environment\nFamiliarity with Agile methodology; hands-on experience a plus\nProficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma)\nSelf-starter, team-player, coachable, and able to work independently while thriving in collaborative environments\nCandidates must share a portfolio of user experience and/or visual design work to be considered for the role.
