We're scaling simple methods across video games, real-world video, and our own fleet of affordable, durable robots.\nWe're looking for assembly technicians to help build that fleet in our San Francisco lab. This is a hands-on role where you'll assemble mechanical and electromechanical components for our custom-designed robot systems. You'll work closely with our engineering team as we improve how our robots are built, making the assembly process faster, more reliable, and easier to scale.\nThis starts as a part-time role. We're open to candidates interested in working anywhere from 10 to 30 hours per week, and we're very flexible about scheduling.\nResponsibilities:\nAssemble mechanical and electromechanical components by following detailed assembly instructions\n\nPerform soldering, wiring, and other light electrical assembly\n\nUse hand tools and light power tools to build high-quality assemblies\n\nInspect parts and finished robots for quality, identifying and flagging issues\n\nHelp maintain organized workspaces, tools, and inventory\n\nSuggest improvements to assembly processes and documentation as you build\n\nYou might be a good fit if you:\nHave experience building or repairing things by hand - electronics, bicycles, cars, furniture, robots, musical instruments, or similar\n\nAre comfortable working with small, precision components\n\nHave strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality\n\nAre able to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions\n\nHave basic soldering skills (or are willing to learn quickly)\n\nAre reliable, organized, and take pride in doing careful, high-quality work\n\nWe care much more about care, curiosity, and craftsmanship than any specific background.
