We believe we are better together and strive to build a cohesive, high-performing team, rather than a traditional hierarchy\nReporting to the Reliability Superintendent, manage a variety of projects and assignments involving maintenance and modernization of refinery electrical and instruments systems, engineering design and troubleshooting low- to high-voltage equipment. \nKey activities include:\nProvides specifications and guidelines for electrical and instruments systems. Provides technical leadership to others in the field of electrical/instrumentation.\nConducts troubleshooting of refinery-wide electrical systems (480V to 138kv).\nUse computer-assisted software (AutoCAD) to create/update drawings\nProvide support/quality assurance for ongoing projects\nCoordinate plant efforts in reviewing breakdowns and failures with the intention of eliminating root causes of the failures, increasing the on-stream plant reliability and reducing costs. \nKeep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering\nAssists in a continuous improvement process by identifying new information electrical/instrumentation that enhances profitability and reliability. \nAssists with One-Line development and updating (as-built One-Lines) to reflect field changes \nProvides technical support to the maintenance department including supervision of electrical checks prior to system commissioning, reviewing PM’s, etc.\nDevelops and maintains standardized specifications for electrical selection and installation.\nProvides primary review of vendor/contractor electrical design to ensure compliance with refinery specifications and applicable safety codes.\nAssist in training of maintenance and operations personnel.\nMust be available to work during off-hours, especially for emergencies and turnarounds.\nMust be able to work effectively with others at all levels and functional areas of the refinery.\nDevelops PM tasks in SAP to improve reliability of electrical/instruments.\nKeep reliability superintendent informed on all activities, opportunities, and status of assigned responsibilities\nHigh Ownership in the MOC (Management of Change) process.\nProactively seek out cost savings and reliability enhancement opportunities.\nMust be available to work on off-hours especially for emergencies and turnarounds.\nMust be able to work effectively with others at all levels and functional areas of the refinery\nRegular schedule includes weekends, holidays and on call 24/7 for emergencies.\nDemonstrative professional behaviors that mirror our Company values of Respect for Others, Integrity, Collaborative Innovation and Heart.\nPerforms other duties as required and needed \nQualifications\nTo meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
