The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange, drive migration and remediation activities, resolve complex L3 escalations, and support high availability, security and service performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nArchitect, maintain and troubleshoot hybrid connectivity between on-premises Exchange and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.\nDevelop advanced PowerShell scripts to automate mailbox provisioning, compliance audits, administration and reporting.\nConfigure and manage Microsoft Entra Connect, Microsoft Entra ID and cloud identity integration.\nImplement and manage messaging security and compliance controls, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Exchange Online Protection and Microsoft Purview DLP.\nAct as the senior escalation point for critical mail-flow interruptions, database issues and complex client-connectivity incidents.\nLead tenant-to-tenant migrations, merger and acquisition transitions, and legacy messaging infrastructure decommissioning.\nProvide high-level architecture, solution design, performance optimisation, monitoring and capacity planning.\nMaintain technical standards, operational documentation and clear project or incident updates.\nOwn priority-one incidents and assigned project tasks through to resolution or completion.\nEngage Microsoft support where required and coordinate across data centre, operations, delivery and executive stakeholder groups.\n\nMinimum Experience and Technical Requirements\n\nMatric is required. A relevant National Diploma or degree is preferred.\nAt least 7 years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience, including a minimum of 4 years in senior-level hybrid Exchange administration.\nExpert knowledge of Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, Active Directory, DNS routing, Database Availability Groups and Windows Server failover clustering.\nProven experience with conditional access, multi-factor authentication, email encryption and messaging security controls.\nStrong PowerShell scripting capability for enterprise-scale administration and automation.\nExperience mentoring junior technical team members and producing clear technical documentation.\nDemonstrated ability to manage L3 escalations, work to customer SLAs and communicate effectively with technical and senior stakeholders.\n\nCertification Requirements\n\nCandidates should hold relevant, current Microsoft certifications.
