This person will also have strong administrative and IT skills. This person will also have strong administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. A successful HR Generalist at Paradigm will also display strong problem solving and decision-making skills coupled with a deep understanding of compliance, benefits administration, and payroll. Candidates will have meticulous attention to detail and excel at customer\nservice for all employees. This is an exempt role that reports directly to the Controller.\nIn this role, you will:\nMaintain all records and systems related to payroll in a timely manner and partner with Finance to review/approve semi-monthly payroll across all companies\nManage the new employee onboarding process, including payroll and benefit setup, issue all mandated information to new hires, assist with benefit enrollment, and perform orientations and update records of new staff\nMaintain digital copies of employees’ records\nAssist with drafting documents related to employment including offer letters, confidentiality agreements and comp agreements\nMaintain employee relationships and be the first point of contact across employees for general HR questions\nBenefits administration including: main point of contact with benefit providers; answer employees’ inquiry and resolve any issues; monthly reconciliation to ensure benefit deduction are correct\nAssist managers with performance management procedures\nKeep up-to-date with HR compliance: assist managers in scheduling required trainings and staff communication\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field\n3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources\nExposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations\nEffective HR administration and people management skills\nExposure to payroll practices; experience with Paylocity is a plus\nUnderstanding of HR functions and best practices\nWho is the ideal candidate?\nAnalytical: can find meaning in numbers, and be a data-driven decision-maker\nExcellent communicator: written and oral\nPossess a high sense of urgency, excellent time management and organizational skills\nAdept at learning web-based tools\nResourceful: able to figure out how to achieve results creatively with finite resources\nThrives in a nimble, lean, unstructured, fast-paced startup\nImpeccable integrity and ethical standards\nSelf-aware, accepting, honest, open, polite, and respectful of others\nAbility to create and execute on processes for a growing SaaS startup using best practices\nAn undying commitment to personal growth and development\nWhy should you join Paradigm?\nParadigm offers a suite of legal practice software solutions that help lawyers manage, automate, and grow their firms.
