The assignment may be extended or conclude earlier\nthan anticipated based on business needs.\nResponsibilities\nData\nValidation and Quality Assurance\nValidate the accuracy and integrityof data imports, updates, transformations, and extracts involving datasets\nranging from hundreds to millions of records.\n\nDevelop, execute, and maintainSQL-based test queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and\nconsistency.\n\nAnalyze complex SQL queries, storedprocedures, triggers, and functions to confirm that database operations\nmeet business and technical requirements.\n\nIdentify data discrepancies,investigate root causes, document defects, and verify corrective actions.\n\nTest both standard and exceptionaldata scenarios, including edge cases and anomalies.\n\nTest Planning\nand Requirements Analysis\nReview business and technicalrequirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential data quality\nrisks.\n\nCollaborate with business analystsand other stakeholders to translate requirements into comprehensive test\nplans and test cases.\n\nDevelop and execute testingstrategies for database processes, data migrations, and ETL operations.\n\nConduct peer reviews to ensureadherence to established quality standards.\n\nCollaboration\nand Project Support\nWork closely with data engineers, QAteam members, and project managers to troubleshoot issues and resolve\ndefects.\n\nCommunicate testing results, projectstatus, risks, and outstanding issues clearly and promptly.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation,project records, and time reporting.\n\nManage competing priorities and meetdemanding project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to\ndetail.\n\nFollow established development,testing, and Data Services procedures and quality standards.\n\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\n· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,\nInformation Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent\nprofessional experience.\n· Minimum 2 years of hands-on database testing\nexperience, including developing and executing complex SQL queries and\nvalidating database processes.\n· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and strong\nproficiency in T-SQL.\n· Experience analyzing and testing stored\nprocedures, functions, triggers, and complex database queries.\n· Understanding of relational databases, data\nmodeling, and database structures.\n· Working knowledge of ETL concepts, processes,\nand data validation techniques.\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data\nanalysis, reconciliation, and reporting.\n· Experience interpreting business requirements\nand translating them into test cases.\n· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and\ndeductive reasoning skills.\n· Excellent written and verbal communication\nskills.\n· Ability to work independently, collaborate\nacross teams, and manage multiple assignments with changing priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\n· Experience validating large-scale data\nmigrations, imports, or conversions.\n· Background in data-intensive business\napplications or environments involving high-volume transactional records.\n· Prior experience as a QA Data Analyst, Database\nQA Analyst, SQL Data Analyst, or similar technical role.\nTechnical Skills\nCandidates should demonstrate advanced knowledge of T-SQL,\nincluding:\nComplexjoins, subqueries, correlated subqueries, IN, and EXISTS\n\nCommontable expressions (CTEs), temporary tables, and views\n\nNULLhandling and data type considerations\n\nPrimarykeys, foreign keys, constraints, and defaults\n\nTransactionsand error handling\n\nIndexingand query performance considerations\n\nStoredprocedures, user-defined functions, and triggers\n\nBulkdata operations, including BCP and BULK INSERT\n\nDatabasetesting, reconciliation, and data integrity validation\n\nBenefits\nParadigm offers medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick days.About Us, Paradigm\nParadigm Information Services is an established staffing company that has been connecting talented people with great opportunities for more than 25 years.
