However, the capabilities of our BCI platform go far beyond our first application. With the brain in direct communication with digital devices, we can leverage technology to transform how we treat conditions ranging from sensory and motor deficits to untreatable mental illness.\n The Role\nAs a Software Engineer at Paradromics, you’ll work closely with our team of Scientists and Engineers to develop software that enables our clinical applications. You will help design software to restore communication ability for our BCI users, enabling successful clinical studies of the Connexus System.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop data curation strategies for user interaction and BCI data\nRealize BCI decoding algorithms as performant software\nEvaluate software with simulated and real neural data, as well as with our BCI hardware in the loop\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the development of new features and tools\nWork closely with our engineering, neuroscience, and quality teams to identify and capture needs and requirements\nRegularly travel between our Austin and Oakland offices\nRequired Education\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent real world experience\n3+ years of professional experience relevant to this role\nRequired Qualifications\nHighly proficient in Python\nExperience with Rust, C++, or C\nFamiliarity with machine learning concepts and experience collaborating with machine learning practitioners\nDemonstrated prior professional experience with multiple programming languages\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of operating systems concepts and performant software\nFamiliarity with signal processing / time series data processing concepts and algorithms.\nExperience working on projects involving quality management systems, such as medical device development, aviation, finance, defense\n Paradromics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
