As the Sr Software Developer/Engineer, you will perform analysis and make recommendations for implementing updates/upgrades to the current CDSs and/or development of a new CDS. SEWS currently operates within three geographic CCMD's areas of responsibility (U.S. European Command (USEUCOM), U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), and U.S. India Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) in support of the Department of State (DOS), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and US Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) missions.\nClearance: Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.\nTravel Required: Yes (Ability to travel approximately 4-6 weeks a year)\nRequirements\nEssential Functions\nImproves software quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures.\nEnhances applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing software systems.\nMaintains and improves existing codebases and peer review code changes.\nLiaises with colleagues to implement technical designs.\nInvestigates and uses new technologies where relevant.\nDetermines and analyzes requirements for software supporting training/testing devices.\nConducts independent software validation, verification, and accreditation.Provide support for CDS-related issues, ensuring the issue is resolved quickly and corrective actions are well documented.\nTravel to CDS sites to perform updates/installations, provide CDS-related training as requested.\nWork with the CDS vendor when a new build is being developed, providing guidance and assisting with the testing.\nMaintain awareness of Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements and ensure the CDSs are in compliance with updates.\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, Master’s preferred.\n5+ years of software development experience.\nIn-depth knowledge of SELinux, Python, Perl, C++, Java, bash, regular expressions.\nAbility to perform reverse engineering to analyze items identified above.\nAbility to learn new programming concepts.\nAbility to troubleshoot issues and make appropriate modifications.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications\nMust have an active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.\nDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) required to start, CISSP preferred.\nThe flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements\nAbility to travel approximately 4-6 weeks a year.\nBenefits\nHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision).\nRetirement Plan (401K w/ employer matching).\nPaid Time Off & 11 Paid Public Holidays.\nShort and Long-Term Disability.\nHealthy Work-Life Balance.\nTraining & Development.\nWhy Work For Paragon Cyber Solutions?\nYou want to make a difference.
