We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer based in Sri\nLanka to support our Australian clients, manage cybersecurity solutions daily and deliver infrastructure and cloud projects.\n\nThis role suits someone with strong technical skills, hands-on cybersecurity experience, excellent\nEnglish communication and a proactive approach to keeping client environments secure and reliable.\nYour responsibilities\n\nDeliver senior-level remote support across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, cloud, networking and endpoint environments.\n\nTake ownership of escalated technical issues, from investigation through to resolution.\n\nAdminister Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID and\nIntune.\n\nManage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and virtualisation platforms.\nConfigure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, switches and wireless networks.\n\nPerform daily management of cybersecurity solutions, including endpoint protection, EDR/MDR platforms, email security, Microsoft 365 security, application control and device management.\n\nReview security dashboards and alerts, investigate suspicious activity and coordinate incident response with SOC/MDR providers.\n\nMaintain security policies, MFA, Conditional Access, access permissions and security baselines.\n\nMonitor security agent health, investigate protection gaps and ensure devices remain covered and up to date.\n\nManage patching, vulnerability remediation, backups and recovery checks.\n\nSupport cybersecurity assessments and implement agreed security improvements.\n\nDeliver migrations, infrastructure upgrades and cloud projects.\nCommunicate clearly with clients by phone, email and remote support sessions.\n\nMaintain accurate tickets, technical documentation and security reports.\n\nIdentify opportunities for automation and mentor junior engineers.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\nAt least 5 years of relevant systems engineering or IT infrastructure support experience, preferably within an MSP.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and networking.\n\nExperience with Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft 365 security controls.\n\nPractical experience administering cybersecurity solutions and performing daily security monitoring, maintenance and remediation.\n\nAn understanding of endpoint security, email threats, identity protection, vulnerability management and incident response.\n\nWorking knowledge of virtualisation, backup and recovery, and remote monitoring tools.\n\nConfident troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.\n\nExcellent spoken and written English, with a professional, customer-focused approach.\n\nAvailability to work during Australian business hours.\n\nReliable internet connectivity and a suitable remote working environment in Sri Lanka.\n\nExperience with SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro, ThreatLocker, NinjaOne, Veeam,\nAcronis, Nutanix, Hyper-V, PowerShell, Fortinet or Palo Alto would be an advantage.
