Our innovative technology offers cleaner, safer, and more efficient logistics solutions. Join our dynamic team and help shape a smarter, greener future for global freight.\nFull Stack Software Engineer I \nParallel Systems is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Interfaces team. The Interfaces team builds the software people use to operate, monitor, and manage our vehicles and fleet, including our main operator application and the product surfaces that will grow into enterprise customer software. This is a junior role with real ownership. You do not need years of production experience, but you do need high agency, clear communication, and the hunger to learn fast. We care more about how you work than how many years you have been paid to work. \nResponsibilities: \nBuild and improve the operator and customer product platform in TypeScript, React, and Rust. \nShip features in our Electron operator application. \nWork with product and vehicle/systems engineers to turn operational needs into clear, reliable interfaces. \nOwn features end-to-end: understand the user, implement, test, document, and follow through after merge. \nGrow into full-stack product work as we expand enterprise software, including data models, APIs, and the performance and reliability of software that talks to the real world. \nWhat Success Looks Like: \nAfter 30 Days: You've set up your environment, learned how operators use our application, and shipped your first changes to the software platform. You're asking good questions early and building relationships with product and vehicle/systems engineers. \nAfter 60 Days: You've owned a feature end-to-end, from understanding the operator's need through implementation, testing, documentation, and follow-through after merge. You're reading and improving code across the Interfaces codebase. \nAfter 90 Days: You're a reliable contributor to the operator application, independently identifying and fixing problems without waiting to be assigned. You've started contributing beyond the UI, such as data models, APIs, or performance and reliability improvements for our enterprise software. \nBasic Requirements: \nBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (bootcamp plus portfolio, research, or shipped projects are fine). \nComfortable writing software in TypeScript or Rust and component-based UI (React or similar). You can read other people's code and leave it better than you found it. \nA track record of picking up a new tool, language, or domain and becoming useful with it, whether through a class project, internship, research, open source, or something you built because you wanted it to exist. \nPreferred Qualifications: \nProject or professional experience with Rust, React, TypeScript, or Python. \nExposure to desktop wrappers (Electron, Tauri), backend development, or databases. \nCoursework or projects touching networks, operating systems, or distributed systems. \nExperience pairing with AI coding tools and being honest about what they got wrong. \nWe are committed to providing fair and transparent compensation in accordance with applicable laws. Salary ranges are listed below and reflect the expected range for new hires in this role, based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Final compensation may vary and will be determined during the interview process. The target hiring range for this position is listed below.\nTarget Salary Range:\n$122,000—$141,000 USD\nParallel Systems is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any discriminatory factor protected by applicable federal, state or local laws. We work to build an inclusive environment in which all people can come to do their best work.\nParallel Systems is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, Parallel Systems will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact your recruiter.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4498,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Rail Transport","Autonomous Driving","Logistics"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T01:44:53Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":5,"expected_fill_days":59,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:early","comp:junior,attention"],"computed_at":"2026-09-29T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":141000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/parallel-systems-full-stack-software-engineer-i","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/parallel-systems-full-stack-software-engineer-i.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-30T01:50:57Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"search","counted_by":"address","units_charged":0,"used_today":0,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":null,"resets_at":"2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"}}}
