Join our dynamic team and help shape a smarter, greener future for global freight.\nHardware Test Engineer II\nAs a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the performance of our autonomous rail vehicles and subsystems. You will work closely with other engineers (including electrical, mechanical, and software) to derive test requirements and develop the corresponding test infrastructure and processes. You are passionate about autonomous vehicle development and will bring that enthusiasm to solving challenging problems in pursuit of a reliable and scalable testing ecosystem. As an early employee at a fast-moving startup, you will work on a multitude of technical projects and help shape the direction of the company. \nResponsibilities: \nDesign and maintain test solutions for in-house developed electronics components and systems \nBuild and maintain test benches used for development and software regression testing \nDefine and develop test cases using Python \nProduce documentation for testing including test plans, work instructions, design drawings, and test reports \nSupport testing and data analysis to identify and root-cause issues \nTest vehicles at Parallel test facilities and customer sites \nMentor other engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth \nWhat Success Looks Like: \nAfter 30 Days: You're familiar with vehicle and subsystems, including functional requirements and testing. You’ve produced design drawings for a test bench and procured parts. \nAfter 60 Days: You’ve integrated a test bench and demonstrated functionality and ability to meet test needs. \nAfter 90 days: You’ve automated test bench operations and integrated into software regression testing. You're supporting ongoing testing and driving an outcome tied directly to a business objective as a trusted partner. \nBasic Qualifications: \nBS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline \n3+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering \nExperience using common test equipment such as power supplies, DAQs, DMMs, and oscilloscopes \nProficient in interpreting electronics schematics and wiring diagrams \nExperience with software development, in Python, C, C++, Rust or similar language \nPreferred Qualifications: \n5+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering \nMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar Engineering discipline \nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing or hardware validation/acceptance testing \nExperience with environmental testing, e.g., MIL-STD-810, IEC 60068 \nExperience in power electronics testing including power converters, battery chargers, and motor controllers \nExperience with optics calibration and testing \nExperience with soldering, crimping and use of other hand tools for electronics integration and repair \nWe are committed to providing fair and transparent compensation in accordance with applicable laws.
