Extendicare proudly employs nearly 30,000 qualified, highly trained and dedicated team members who are passionate about providing high-quality care and services to help people live better.\nApplications are invited for the casual position of Receptionist at Extendicare Cedars Villa, a 243-bed long-term care home, located in SW, Calgary, Alberta.\nReporting to Operations Management, the Receptionist will respond to all incoming calls, greet and direct all visitors, answering inquiries in a positive and professional manner, representative of Extendicare\nKey Responsibilities:\nTo answer all incoming calls, and respond to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner;\nTo redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when required;\nTo greet, assist and direct all visitors;\nTo pick up and sort internal mail;\nTo stamp, deliver and maintain mail machine for external mail;\nTo prepare packages and arrange courier pick up;\nTo arrange meeting room schedule and bookings;\nTo update phone and distribution lists;\nTo maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized reception area;\nTo assist with small projects as required by other administrative support (i.e. labels, bulk mailing, etc.);\nTo complete other duties as assigned;\nTo uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Extendicare's Code of Conduct.\nQualifications:\nAbove average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;\nPrevious experience in reception is considered an asset;\nMust exhibit professional and polished telephone manner;\nAbility to handle multiple tasks at once, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;\nHighly organized and detail focused;\nExpertise in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail)\nWhat Extendicare has to offer:\nAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
