When on call, you'll need to be able to attend the Scunthorpe site within 30 minutes if required.\nWe’re reshaping our Digital, Technology and Data function for the future, creating new opportunities, strengthening our capability, and building clearer, more resilient ways of working so we can deliver even better services for our Co-op, our colleagues, members and customers.\nWe're looking for IT Infrastructure Engineers to join our Wholesale Technology team and help us deliver reliable, secure and high-performing technology services across our head office and logistics network. In this role, you'll provide expert technical support across a diverse infrastructure estate, supporting everything from servers, networks and cloud technologies to security systems and operational technology. Working closely with colleagues across Technology and the wider business, you'll help keep critical services running smoothly while contributing to infrastructure improvements and future technology developments.\nWhy this role matters\nTechnology plays a critical role in keeping our wholesale and logistics operations moving. From supporting warehouse systems and network infrastructure to maintaining the security and availability of key business services, you'll be at the heart of ensuring colleagues can serve customers without interruption. This is an opportunity to work across a broad and varied technology estate, combining day-to-day operational support with project work, problem solving and infrastructure improvements. You'll have the chance to apply and develop your expertise across networking, virtualisation, cloud technologies, security and server infrastructure while making a direct impact on business performance.\nWhat you’ll do\nAct as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and networking issues, working closely with our Service Desk to resolve incidents and problems\nTroubleshoot, investigate and resolve issues across server, network, cloud and security technologies\nSupport the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure services across our offices, depots and logistics sites\nConfigure, administer and support server, virtualisation and networking environments, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and available\nWork with third-party suppliers and technology partners to support service delivery and infrastructure improvements\nContribute to infrastructure projects, helping to implement new technologies and enhance existing services\nSupport business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including backup management, testing and recovery processes\nParticipate in the 24/7 on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required, including responding to critical incidents\nWhat you’ll bring\nWe’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:\nExperience supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments across networking, server, cloud and end-user technologies\nA solid understanding of networking principles and infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues\nExperience working with virtualised environments and core Microsoft technologies\nAn appreciation of cybersecurity best practices and experience supporting secure, resilient technology services\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to investigating and resolving issues\nThe ability to communicate technical information clearly and build effective working relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues\nA flexible approach, with the ability to participate in an on-call support rota\nA full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel occasionally to sites across the UK and attend our Scunthorpe office when required to support major incidents\nWe know some people may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every requirement.
