Previous Next 1 2 3 Sherwood Park Paving PPark Paving Ltd. started in the early 1970s as a family owned business called Sherwood Park Paving.

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking an Estimating Coordinator to join our Estimating & Business Development Department in Edmonton.

This is a new professional position created to strengthen departmental capacity, improve estimating processes, enhance information flow, and provide consistent coordination throughout the complete estimating lifecycle.

The role is designed for someone who is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable managing information, systems, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced civil construction environment.

The Estimating Coordinator will work closely with the Manager, Estimating team, Operations, Contracts, suppliers, and subcontractors and will take ownership of several important departmental processes.

The Role

The position combines estimating coordination, proposal development, systems management, vendor engagement, reporting, technical estimating support, and project turnover coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and maintaining the company sourcing tracker and upcoming opportunities
  • Reviewing tender platforms, client invitations, and market notifications
  • Organizing drawings, specifications, addenda, and tender documentation
  • Establishing and maintaining estimating files and supporting information
  • Preparing and distributing supplier and subcontractor RFQs
  • Tracking quotations and coordinating supplier and subcontractor follow-up
  • Maintaining supplier, subcontractor, and prequalification information
  • Supporting proposal and tender submission preparation
  • Completing selected quantity take-offs and technical estimating support
  • Assisting with drawing, scope, and specification reviews
  • Supporting estimating-system inputs and bid preparation
  • Coordinating annual supplier pricing and estimating-system updates
  • Assisting with monthly estimating reporting and analysis
  • Coordinating internal document routing and information flow

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written communication and document-preparation skills
  • Confidence working with suppliers, subcontractors, internal teams, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • An interest in construction, estimating, systems, and continuous improvement

  • Construction
  • Estimating
  • Project coordination
  • Infrastructure
  • Data or business analysis
  • Commercial administration
  • Document control
  • Procurement
  • Proposal coordination
  • Operational analysis

Experience with construction estimating systems is considered an asset but is not required.

Civil construction experience, drawing interpretation, or quantity take-off experience is also considered an asset.

Why Join This Role?

This is not simply an administrative or entry-level estimating position.

The Estimating Coordinator will become an important part of Park Paving's estimating process and will have direct responsibility for improving how opportunities, information, suppliers, proposals, systems, and awarded projects move through the department.

This role provides the opportunity to:

  • Own important departmental processes
  • Work directly with experienced estimators and operational leaders
  • Contribute to significant civil construction opportunities
  • Develop technical estimating knowledge
  • Improve systems, reporting, and information management
  • Build relationships across the organization and construction industry
  • Gain increasing technical and departmental responsibility as capability develops

For the right individual, this role offers a strong opportunity to build a long-term career within civil construction estimating while contributing directly to the effectiveness and growth of the department.
