The manager will also contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions, and will be accountable for the successful delivery of their team's projects on time, within scope, and on budget.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nManage the development of custom applications and/or integration solutions to serve internal and/or external customers\nEnsure that the entire development lifecycle operates effectively, and is supported by the appropriate policies, procedures and standards that implement and enforce best practices, quality and consistency on behalf of the department\nDirectly manage assigned employee group. Carries out management and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. \nResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nProvide input on technical approach and level of effort for new projects to inform the project management office and IT steering committee\nManage and forecast the allocation of resources to projects, and budget, as prioritized by the senior leadership team\nCollaborate with IT peers and various functional teams to achieve business results\nCollaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure high-quality solutions are deployed\nActively identify and manage risks to the department and/or projects, and be proactive in communication to employees and business stakeholders alike to facilitate transparency and trust\nContribute to the overall application landscape and strategy for applying new technology to ensure that our technology investments generate business capabilities superior to our competitors.\nParticipate in software selection processes\nStay current on new technologies and industry best practices\nPossess a high level of self-direction and accountability (goal-oriented mindset)\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat we’re looking for:\n2+ years management or team lead experience.\n5+ years prior application development experience.\nDemonstrated ability to manage conflict and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical, communication and organizational skills.\nProven ability to influence and advocate change.\nBonus Points:\nExperience with Java, JavaScript.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree or higher required.\nComputer Science or related degree
