This role works closely with surveyors, project managers, and field crews to transform field data into accurate, well-organized deliverables while maintaining established survey standards and procedures. The position is primarily office-based and may include limited field support depending on workload and experience. From emerging professionals to experienced leaders, Parkhill offers opportunities to build a career with purpose.\nResponsibilities\nCAD Drafting, Exhibits & Production\nPrepare layout and perform drafting tasks and calculations from instructions using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads\nPrepare technical drawings, exhibits, maps, and reports for survey projects\nDraft survey related exhibits including boundary, topographic, control, right of way, easement, and construction related drawings\nData Processing, Calculations & Data Reduction\nImport, organize, and manage survey field data (points, figures, surfaces) \nRun calculations utilizing CAD programs and perform survey calculations/data reduction under supervision (experience dependent)\nAnalyze raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy (experience dependent)\nMaintain field/data records, survey project files, and indexing systems\nSurvey Support, Coordination & QA/QC\nParticipate in pre survey planning meetings with Project Managers and Land Surveyors\nSupport field crews with data and calculations for construction, topographic, right of way, boundary, and control survey projects\nReview and interpret field notes with field leadership to clarify discrepancies and verify adherence to survey practices\nEnsure drawing accuracy, completeness, and internal quality control prior to review\nPerform other duties as assigned \nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nProficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation OpenRoads (role level dependent)\nProficiency in Excel (role level dependent)\nKnowledge of GIS database management (role level dependent)\nBasic knowledge of land surveying laws and regulations \nValid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements\nAbility to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures\nWork in urban and rural environments, including roadways and uneven terrain\nAbility to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and reach for extended periods\nAbility to lift, carry, and operate survey equipment and supplies weighing up to 50+ pounds\nAbility to clear brush and vegetation as needed to complete survey tasks\nPotential exposure to insects, wildlife, traffic, and environmental hazards\nWillingness to work overtime as needed\nWillingness to travel and stay overnight for project locations more than two hours from the home office\nBenefits and Perks\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports the whole person.
