This position serves as the primary communications and community engagement resource for local operations, helping build meaningful connections with families, community organizations, healthcare partners, veterans groups, and civic leaders. The Public Relations Director promotes the organization's services, community involvement, educational programs, and events while ensuring all communications reflect the company's commitment to serving families with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.\nEssential Functions\nDevelops and maintains relationships with community organizations, hospices, healthcare providers, veterans organizations, senior living communities, faith-based groups, and other local stakeholders.\nRepresents the organization at community events, networking functions, chamber activities, and civic meetings.\nIdentifies opportunities to increase community awareness through participation in local programs and initiatives.\nCoordinates local public relations efforts that promote the organization's services, events, and community involvement.\nBuilds and maintains relationships with local media outlets and community publications.\nEnsure communications are consistent with company branding and messaging standards.\nMonitor local reputation and public perception of assigned locations.\nAssists leadership in addressing customer concerns and escalating sensitive issues appropriately.\nSupports initiatives designed to enhance customer satisfaction, community trust, and brand visibility.\nPartners with local management and marketing teams to promote funeral, cemetery, cremation, and preneed services, as well as identify communication opportunities to meet community needs.\nProvide communication support for location announcements, employee recognition programs, and community service initiatives.\nMaintain a calendar of community events, sponsorships, and outreach activities.\nPerform other duties and projects as assigned.\nCompetencies\nRelationship Building\nCorporate Governance Understanding.\nNegotiation Skills.\nCommunication Proficiency.\nIntegrity and Ethical\nTeamwork Orientation.\nDetail Orientation.\nTime Management.\nRequired Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure\nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in public relations, funeral service management, business development, sales & marketing, customer relations, public affairs or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience building relationships with community organizations, business, leaders, healthcare providers, civic group, faith-based organizations or other local stakeholders.\nValid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications\nAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently.
